Online Bingo History is fascinating. Like anything else, it is always interesting to learn about the roots of your hobbies. So many people enjoy bingo today, both in bingo halls and online, so it’s sometimes nice to think about the early days of the great game we love so much.

Bingo itself dates right back to the 14th century, but obviously not onlin; this came much later on after the invention of computers and the internet! We need to be appreciative of these early days too though, as without them we wouldn’t have online bingo. The game was first known of in Italy, then France, then Germany, before it reached America in the 1920s. Back then it was known as Beano. It grew and grew until it was extremely popular and played in many different countries all over the world.

Online Bingo History doesn’t start until the mid to late 1990s. In 1996, something called Bingo Zone was launched, which was pretty much the beginnings of online bingo. Then in 1998 Bingo Blitz was born, and so began the game as we know it today. CyberBingo was one of the first proper bingo sites, but this one didn’t reach the UK until much later.
